He was a professor at the National University Timor Lorosa’e (Timor-Leste) and at the University of Cape Town (South Africa). He holds a PhD in Applied Linguistics from Unicamp, with a sandwich at MOSAIC, Center for Research on Multilingualism, University of Birmingham, United Kingdom. His academic interests are the development of language and educational policies in multilingual and/or multicultural contexts.

Professor at Eduardo Mondlane University (Mozambique), linked to the Bantu Languages Section, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. Researcher at the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro (Portugal). She is interested in language policy and bilingual education in Mozambique, lexicography of the Tsonga group languages and Portuguese from Mozambique. She coordinates the research group GELBAA (Group for Studies in Languages, Bantu Linguistics and Related Areas). She was honored in 2017 by the Santa Catarina Legislative Assembly for her struggle in defense of equality.

Professor at the Federal University of Santa Catarina. She works in the Postgraduate Program in Linguistics and in the Interdisciplinary Doctorate in Human Sciences. She has a postdoctoral degree in Language Policy (Penn State). She is interested in language policies in colonial and post-colonial contexts of Portuguese language use. She leads the research group Critical Language Policies and Language Rights. Participates in Varsul and NUER (UFSC). He is President of the Public Policies Committee of the Associação Brasileira de Linguística (Abralin).
